The Super Cars concept model Vision Efficient Dynamics from BMW that was unveiled at the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show is about to turn into reality. BMW has plans all set to build a super sports car which would be based on this concept model and would be named the M8. Apparently, BMW M8 hybrid supercar realm will be close to what will be powered by the 5.0-liter V10 from the M5, along with an electric motor. If this is true, the BMW hybrid M8 is out at least 507 hp at 7750 rpm and 520 Nm of torque comes from the gasoline engine.

The electric motor surely increase these numbers. In fact, if the BMW M8 hybrid electric motor will keep the same design as shown in the concept of vision, which wants to develop 150 hp. The concept BMW Vision has two electric motors, one for each axis. With almost 700 horsepower, the BMW hybrid will be quite a ride M8 crazy.

As design goes, the BMW M8 hybrid will be based on the same concept, with some changes, obviously. It seems that the new model will be longer than the concept and wants to offer a 2 +2 seating configuration.
If the performance model of the new hybrid will go into production, are likely to be available within two years.
